Position: Project Support Specialist – Utility & Energy  - # 26-14625
Location: Salem

Duration: 36 Months

Note: CW may occasionally travel for site visits. Can drive their personal vehicle or check out a Client’s vehicle.

Job Summary
  • The Project Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the Project Management team.
  • This position will assist multiple project managers in successfully managing projects including providing administrative support, material planning, logistics, purchasing support and outage support.
  • The primary function of this role will be project integration tasks as outlined below.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic project management principles.
  • Project related work/school experience;
    Demonstrated to Working Knowledge in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving;
    Collaborative Team Member. Demonstrated to Working knowledge in project related Scheduling / Cost Controls.
  • The Project Management Specialist may have relationships with individuals in various organizations ranging from individual contributors to Department Leadership (i.e. individual contributors up to senior department management).
Responsibilities
  • Support Project Management team in:
  • Assist with configuration management and project closeout in our ACT software.
  • Coordinate field labeling activities
  • Coordinate integration of projects into plant operations and maintenance programs (i.e., Lockout-Tagout database, preventative maintenance, etc.)
  • Assist with contractor bid packages.
  • Assist with managing purchase orders.
  • Arrange meetings with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.
  • Use business software applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, NERC/environmental checklists, risk registers, agendas, minutes, etc.
  • Implement project setup in both our accounting and project management software.
  • Generate financial reports and assist with monthly forecasting.
  • Gather required approvals for invoices for processing through the A/P.
