Position: Program Assistant / IMF Program Assistant - 190646

This position is located in Titles & Registration / Infrastructure Maintenance Fee (IMF) Unit, at SCDMV Headquarters in Blythewood, SC. Responsibilities of the IMF Program Assistant:

  • Uses DMV Phoenix system to process IMF payment and Out of Trust Dealer transactions.
  • Reviews, reconciles, interprets, and reports IMF and Out of Trust data, recommending appropriate action for violation fee payments.
  • Performs refund research working closely with Branch Offices, Dealers and Accounting to have records updated in the database.
  • Serves as a support function for DMV Branch Offices, DMV Business Units and Dealers to assist, and guide with questions about IMF and Out of Trust.
  • Performs quality assurance audits on IMF and Out of Trust processing.
  • Performs other related duties as requested, recommending appropriate action for violation of fee payments.
Minimum and Additional Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be accepted with prior approval. Agency Requirements:
Must complete a nationwide criminal background check to include finger printing.

Additional Requirements:

Knowledge of agency policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and program services related to Vehicle Titles and Registration, Infrastructure Maintenance Fee (IMF) program, and Out of Trust Dealer processing. Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment. Knowledge of Phoenix system. Ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access. Ability to deal effectively with internal/external customers both orally and in writing.

The ability to develop efficient processes and value oriented change. Works under general supervision; however, has discretion to use good judgement in accordance with Best Practices and Procedures. Works in climate controlled environment at Blythewood Headquarters with normal work hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday. May require limited travel.

Preferred Qualifications

Agency Preferred: A high school diploma and (4) or more years of experience with relevant program experience. An equivalent education and relevant experience may be accepted with prior approval.
