Position Description

Under limited supervision, the Administrative Coordinator/HR Liaison for the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology & Neuroscience at the University of South Carolina Floyd School of Medicine will oversee, manage, and coordinate the department’s administrative operations, personnel management, and support services. We seek a collaborative, competent, and dedicated individual to join our outstanding team of faculty, staff, and students in supporting excellence in our research, education, and service missions.

This position is responsible for managing all departmental personnel activities, including the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and personnel administration of faculty, staff, and students. The incumbent serves as the department’s primary liaison to the Office of Human Resources and the university’s time management system, while also providing comprehensive administrative support for the department’s research and teaching missions. The department maintains a robust, externally funded research program and supports the educational missions of the Floyd School of Medicine through instruction and training of medical, graduate, and undergraduate students.
