Responsibilities- You will process initial, renewal, and/or reinstatement applications for Medical Examiner and Podiatry licensure (via paper, online, and in-person), utilizing applicable databases and software.
- You will review and evaluate documents and ensures all necessary requirements for licensure are completed.
- You will assemble, prepare, and scan documents to records system.
- You will assist with coordinating board and committing meetings, including working with members and preparing materials for review.
- You will respond to customer inquiries received through walk-ins, telephone calls, e-mails, and other methods providing timely and accurate responses to requests related to Medical Examiners and Podiatry application and licensing processes.
- You will provide other administrative support services as assigned.
- A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
- MANDATORY: Must be able to successfully complete a fingerprint-based background check and be vetted by SLED Criminal Justice Information Services.
- A high school diploma and four (4) years of experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
- Strong customer service.
- Considerable knowledge and skill in the use of office equipment and computers.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of office management and general administrative functions.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
- Ability to understand and follow complex instructions.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, policies and organizational functions.
- Ability to process meeting notes and minutes.
- Position works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and standing.
- May require occasional work outside of normal office hours.
- May be required to lift, carry, move and/or position objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Daily filing, data entry, telephone and computer use.

Eligibility - Background CheckI understand that a mandatory requirement of this position is that upon hire, I must be able to successfully complete a fingerprint-based background check and be vetted by SLED's Criminal Justice Information Services. I understand that if I am unable to complete this requirement, I will be separated from employment with LLR.
Vehicle RequirementsApplicants who will be required to drive a state or personal vehicle to regularly perform state duties will be required to submit an acceptable 10-year motor vehicle record (MVR) that complies with state and agency fleet guidelines.
