Position: Administrative Specialist II (61035482)
Location: Columbia

Job Responsibilities

  • Assists with requests from members of the public, either in person or by phone; assist with all incoming calls and correspondence and/or forwards to proper person or office.
  • Acts as timekeeper entering information into online system, maintains leave records and personnel files for unit.
  • Processes personnel transactions including new hires; compiles and maintains personnel records; tracks and schedules training.
  • Prepares requisitions, purchase orders, receipts and maintains files and records.
  • Maintains inventory of office supplies and forms; reviews requisitions and bills to ensure compliance with budget limitations.
  • Works during inclement weather to answer telephone calls and assist with completing reports.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum And Additional Requirements

A high school diploma; or an approved acceptable equivalence.

The physical demands for the essential functions includes sitting or standing at a desk for an extended period and working on a computer. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. May be required to work outside of normal business hours.
