Administrative Coordinator I

The Department of Administration's (Admin) Chief of Staff office is seeking an enthusiastic Administrative Coordinator to join our Learning and Organizational Development (LOD) team. The LOD team fosters the coordination and delivery of professional development and training initiatives for state employees.

This position is onsite in Columbia, SC.

Responsibilities of the Administrative Coordinator I:
  • Process billing for LOD team training services, prepare invoices, coordinate payments for contracted instructors, and monitor invoices to ensure timely payment.
  • Maintain supplies and coordinate necessary expenses.
  • Coordinate training logistics by researching and reserving training venues, preparing instructor and training contracts, and providing administrative support and back-up assistance for training programs, as needed.
  • Prepare and process financial and metrics reports.
  • Coordinate the LOD team's technology resources by monitoring equipment needs, including laptops and mobile devices, and managing related purchases as needed.
  • Maintain and update training and participant information within the Learning Management System.
  • Serve as a liaison and coordinate with Facilities Management and Parking Services for related requests and services to support
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • A high school diploma and at least two (2) years of relevant experience in administrative services.
  • A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
Additional Requirements:

The employee should be proficient using MS office and some familiarity with the use of current technology systems (LMS); have exceptional organizational skills to assist in complex processes (i.e. inputting information on spreadsheets and other electronic documents) and have experience in general office management and in providing high level coordination support.
