The Office of Statewide Workforce Development (OSWD) is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to serve as a critical partner to the OSWD Director, staff, and the SC Coordinating Council for Workforce Development (CCWD). This is not just a support role—you will be the operational backbone of our executive team, managing a diverse portfolio of projects, leading high-profile event logistics, and ensuring seamless communication across council leadership.
This role assists by coordinating the portfolio of projects and initiatives identified by the CCWD, as well as communicates, coordinates, and facilitates projects and information directly for and on behalf of the OSWD director and staff. An ideal candidate will have initiative; ability to adapt, analyze and solve problems; excellent customer service skills; exercise good judgment; and collaborate effectively with others.
Activities include creating reports and presentations; conducting research; coordinating meetings and related logistics; preparing and drafting office correspondence, to include meeting minutes; maintenance of staff calendars; travel coordination and reimbursement; office supply purchasing; and tracking of correspondence and assignments. Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication skills.
- Maintain appointment calendar, coordinate meetings, and prepare and distribute meeting materials.
- Prepare internal and external written communications; transcribe, edit, and assign deadlines for a variety of written materials including but not limited to executive summaries, letters, briefing materials, and communications.
- Provide logistical support for daily activities.
- First point of contact for inquiries on policies, procedures, or CCWD-related matters.
- Review incoming correspondence and respond appropriately.
- Arrange in-state and out-of-state travel.
