Job Duties- The County Admin Support Specialist II provides administrative support involved in the daily operation of the office. Performs varying tasks that have significant impact on the operation of the agency.
- Greets customers at the reception desk, discern customers needs and routes them to the appropriate person for assistance. Explains services and registers applications, assigns information received to caseworkers and scans information to the appropriate person in SCOSA.
- Receives calls coming into the office, screens calls and transfers appropriately. Assists clients with questions/problems concerning their Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards.
- Receives, opens, dates stamps and distributes all mail received at the window, the drop box and thru the FA mailbox and assures assigned appropriately in SCOSA and to the correct individual. The drop box is checked multiple times daily to include checking at 5 PM to assure everything is dated for the date received.
- Orders supplies for the unit, replenishes copiers and network printers with toner, paper and envelopes, assures the lobby is maintained to include updated posters, brochures and applications for SNAP/TANF/ Refugee Assistance are in the lobby and properly labeled.
- To ensure that personal identifying information (PI) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. To protect the agency and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.
- Performs emergency disaster services to include American Red Cross sheltering and Disaster SNAP duties; perform other related duties as required.
A High School Diploma and two (2) years of clerical experience.
An Associate Degree or higher may be substituted for all or part of the work requirements.
Selected positions may require the ability to type at a corrected rate of 35 words per minute.
Additional CommentsMust possess a valid driver's license and have access to and be able to operate a motor vehicle. Individuals must comply with necessary field work assignments.
