Under limited supervision of the Deputy Director for Legal Services, performs a variety of advanced secretarial, clerical, and administrative duties to include specialized technical typing with the Executive section of the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services Division of Legal Services, as well as assists in research and preparation of cases at all pre-trial, trial and post-trial stages of litigation;
Assists the Deputy Director, Assistant Deputy Director, and the General Counsel in case assignment and coordination;
Supports professional communications inside and outside the Department; maintains professional competence.
A high school diploma and relevant experience in legal services, business management, public administration or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
A bachelor’s degree and at least one year of experience working in a legal office or within the South Carolina court system. Administrative support experience to include working with MS Office applications.

This is an entirely on-site, in-office position.
