Job Duties
  • The Adoptions Administrative Coordinator assists with the state level adoption programs that support the Agency's statewide adoption program.
  • Receives and processes all renegotiation requests regarding adoption and guardianship monthly assistance payments.
  • Reviews and assists in correcting financial errors in association of the adoption assistance payments, this can include issuance of 1x payments or recouping over payments.
  • Receives, reviews, and sends all Interstate Compact for Adoption Medical Assistance (ICAMA) documents to SC Medicaid for processing.
  • Serves as the liaison to SC Medicaid for families who have Adoption or Guardianship Assistance Medicaid and need updates or other assistance.
  • Provides support to adoptive parents related to subsidy to include updating addresses, payment methods, verification letters, and other adoption issues as needed.
  • Manages the main phone line and shared email boxes.
  • Assists in maintaining all databases used by State Office Adoptions, ie CAPSS, OnBase, financial spreadsheets, Medicaid tracking, etc.
  • Assists with post-legal requests.
  • Assists in compiling data for internal and external reports as requested by Program Manager.
  • Ensures personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. Protects the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment, and data.
  • Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duties/services as directed.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
Minimum And Additional Requirements

An Associate Degree and four (4) years of experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services.

A Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of experience in business management, public administration or administrative services.

A Master's Degree or higher may be substituted for the required work experience.
