Senior Technical Writer

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Technical Writer/Business Analystfor a MOSTLY ONSITE (4 days/week in office) opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC. The Candidate will develop and maintain formal Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation for multiple enterprise technology initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and subject matter experts to produce accurate, compliant procurement documents. The Candidate will gather requirements, translate business needs into structured technical documentation, and ensure all solicitation materials align with organizational standards and procurement guidelines.

Required Qualifications of the Technical Writer/Business Analyst:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 2 years of technical writing experience developing structured business or technical documentation.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Experience working with document templates, formatting standards, and style guidelines.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to gather and organize information from multiple stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
• Must reside in South Carolina or be willing to relocate prior to the start of the assignment.

Preferred Skills/Experience of the Technical Writer/Business Analyst:

• Previous experience supporting government or public sector organizations.
• Experience with healthcare technology, Medicaid systems, or healthcare claims processing projects.
• Familiarity with procurement processes and developing Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, project managers, and executive leadership.

Responsibilities of the Technical Writer/Business Analyst:

• Develop comprehensive RFP documents for multiple technology and business initiatives.
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to gather business, technical, and procurement requirements.
• Draft and organize project scope, technical requirements, deliverables, staffing expectations, and evaluation criteria.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and leadership to ensure procurement documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant.
• Review existing documentation and incorporate relevant information into new solicitation packages.
• Update and maintain procurement documentation while supporting additional documentation and business analysis activities as needed.

Work Location: Hybrid schedule in Columbia, South Carolina, requiring four days onsite and one day remote each week.
