Position: Floater Teachers - Pt time and full time

Overview

Floater Teacher – Infant to Pre-K (Ages 6 Weeks–5 Years)
Location: The Learning Experience, Columbia
Schedule: Open availability required, 6am to 6pm - varying shifts;
Full time and Part Time positions
Compensation: Based on experience

Our center is looking for a flexible, energetic, and dependable Floater Teacher to support classrooms across all age groups. If you enjoy variety in your day and love working with children at different stages of early development, this role offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity.

About the Role

As a Floater Teacher, you’ll step into classrooms as needed to ensure smooth daily operations. You’ll provide coverage for lunch breaks, assist with opening or closing routines, and serve as the first line of support when teachers are absent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support classrooms ranging from infants (6 weeks) to Pre-K (5 years)
  • Provide coverage for staff breaks, absences, and daily transitions
  • Assist with opening or closing duties depending on schedule needs
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment in every classroom
  • Follow established routines and support age-appropriate activities
  • Build positive, professional relationships with children, families, and staff
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience working with young children across multiple age groups
  • Open availability to meet the needs of the center
  • Strong adaptability and comfort stepping into different classrooms
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Education in Early Childhood Education or related field is a plus
