We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise construction of artificial turf fields from start to finish. Each project has a duration of 2 - 10 weeks and an average budget of $500k. You will organize and oversee the construction process and ensure it is completed in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.
The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Simultaneously oversee multiple projects at one time
- Identify and manage potential project risks
- Read and interpret project plans, drawings and specifications
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
- Generate submittals and other customer facing documents
- Acquire equipment and material to support the construction schedule
- Verify that specifications, contracts and proposals are all aligned with respect to scope and price
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
- Prior civil construction experience a plus
- Other duties as assigned.
