Hood Construction is growing, and we’re seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead our commercial projects from the field. This is an opportunity for a motivated construction professional who excels at on-site leadership, thrives in fast-moving environments, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work safely and efficiently.
As a Superintendent at Hood Construction, you’ll serve as the primary on-site leader, overseeing all daily field operations and ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to our exacting standards of quality and safety.
What You’ll DoIn this role, you’ll manage all on-site construction activities, including supervising field personnel, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, and maintaining schedule and cost controls. You’ll review and interpret construction drawings, track project documentation, and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
You’ll work closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to maintain clear communication and keep projects moving forward. Responsibilities include leading site meetings, managing construction schedules, performing quality control inspections, and documenting daily progress using industry-standard project management software. From preconstruction through final punch list, you’ll be engaged in every phase of the build.
What You’ll BringThe ideal candidate has 5–7 years of experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor and a proven ability to lead teams and manage complex, multi-trade projects. You bring strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, inspections, and project sequencing.
Proficiency with construction management tools such as Procore, Plan Grid, or similar platforms is required, along with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites are also necessary.
