2011 NAHB Safety Award for Excellence (SAFE) Multifamily Safety Program 1st Place Winner Description of Position The Project Manager will provide overall project leadership, planning, contract administration, coordination, and compliance to ensure the safe, quality construction of the Work of the Project, on schedule, within budget, proactively focused on Client’s expectations and concerns
Organizational Relationships The Project Manager reports to Project Executive. Normal inside contacts will include: all employees of CF Evans field, project management, and preconstruction team. Outside contacts will include: subcontractors, vendors, building inspectors, architects, engineers, and clients.
Job Duties & Responsibilities Reinforce and assist with CF Evans corporate safety, quality, and schedule / production management programs, as well as lead, implement, and enforce project planning and customer service programs, for the Work of the Project;
Foster and ensure cooperative and collaborative partner relationships
Oversee review and ensure entire project team has a thorough understanding project-specific contract documents (esp. IFC drawings, specifications, submittals, etc.) for the Work of the Project Ensure bidding, award, preparation, and execution of subcontracts and purchase orders are administered as efficiently as possible for the Work of the Project;
Proactively identify and isolate matters of risk and expediently solve problems;
Resolve RFIs and RFCOs promptly
Develop, implement, and lead:
Contract and 3 week schedules; project controls for subcontract trade work, vendor-supplied materials, equipment, services, etc., and third party activities, including but not limited to pre-planning, monitoring, and inspection; bi-weekly Owner / Architect meetings; weekly and daily coordination meetings; contingency plans;
Client, architect, and project communications
Ensure all of the cost of the construction process remain within Client’s budget, including cost estimating, cost reporting, cost breakouts, pay requests, cash flow analysis, change orders, and monthly project financials; , accounting for costs attributed to all change events, non-conformance, delays and rework for the Work of the Project;
Ensure required documentation for all change events
Proficiently utilize and leverage technology tools and solutions to ensure consistent and reliable results, gain efficiencies, and improve project team performance;
