Job Overview
Senior Project Manager – Heavy Civil Construction
Location:
Hardeeville, SC
Hours:
40 hrs./week, Mon-Fri, 8:30a.m. – 5:30p.m.
- Lead and manage heavy civil construction projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans to maintain timely delivery.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Prepare and present project reports, including status updates, financial summaries, and risk assessments.
- Resolve issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and maintain effective communication throughout the project.
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive, post‑bachelor’s experience in managing highway and bridge Design‑Build construction packages valued at over USD $50million.
- Experience in civil engineering, project management, and construction operations within the heavy civil construction industry.
- Proficiency in reviewing, implementing, and maintaining traffic control plans.
- Experience operating Primavera6 CPM, Bluebeam Revu, MSPowerBI, and Heavy JobHCCS for project management and cost analysis.
- Ability to apply construction math concepts to value‑engineer cost components exceeding USD $10million.
- Track record of producing annual budgets, revenue projections, and cash‑flow estimations.
- Experience overseeing highway widening, bridge replacement, and interchange modernization activities.
- Participation in subcontractor negotiation, including material buyouts, contract development, and contract negotiation.
- Analytical skills to review design documentation for implementation, including change orders and value‑added engineering.
