DescriptionYou’ll support the planning and delivery of customer-facing conferences and events, working cross-functionally to create engaging experiences that drive participation, lead generation, and measurable business impact.
LocationRemote (U.S. preferred; some travel required)
Principal Responsibilities- Support and manage the planning and delivery of conferences and customer-facing events. Oversee responsibilities across event planning and execution, working cross functionally with marketing personnel, business area leaders, and other internal stakeholders to ensure successful, scalable event programs that align to the organization’s College & Career Readiness (CCR) business objectives.
- Participate in planning efforts and collaborate closely with the events lead to design effective and efficient models for conferences, summits, industry events, and other lead-generation programs that align with business priorities.
- Support all aspects of event planning including agenda development, registration build and management, app creation, speaker coordination, communications, survey development, A/V needs, meeting space and food & beverage planning, signage, templates, vendor management, promo items, creative needs, accounts payable, and timeline management.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal partners, external clients, and cross-functional colleagues to ensure professional, high-quality event experiences.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to schedule, create, and launch promotional communications including invitation emails, ads, and web banners to maximize registration.
- Support development of post-event deliverables including survey reporting, attendee lists, recordings, presentations, and budget reconciliation.
- Support event effectiveness measurement, including basic ROI and performance reporting.
- Remain informed of evolving trends in event platforms, registration systems, and industry best practices.
- 2+ years of experience in event planning, conference coordination, or related marketing/event roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, event management, communications, education, or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated experience planning and facilitating successful virtual and in-person events.
- Outstanding organizational, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical aptitude with ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Ability to remain calm, resourceful, and solutions-oriented in fast-paced environments.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Creativity, curiosity, and willingness to bring forward new ideas.
- Ability to travel occasionally for on‑site event support.
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $45,000 – $50,000.
