This role will start FT in March. As an Art Gallery Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our art gallery. This multifaceted position requires a passion for the arts, excellent interpersonal skills, and a keen attention to detail. You will assist in creating an engaging and welcoming environment for visitors while contributing to the overall success of the gallery.

Responsibilities include coordinating events, managing artwork inventory, providing information to visitors, and collaborating with artists and gallery staff. • Greet and assist gallery visitors, providing information about current exhibitions, artists, and artworks.
• Assist in the sale of artworks, including handling transactions, processing payments, and providing sales receipts.
• Catalog and organize artwork inventory, ensuring accurate records of artists, mediums, and pricing.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, visitor data, and inventory.
• Stay informed about current art trends, artists, and the broader art community.
• The colleague is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE &

EDUCATION:

• A High School Diploma
• Previous experience in a similar role within an art gallery, museum, or cultural institution is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to engage effectively with gallery visitors and potential buyers.
• Proficient organizational skills, including the management of artwork inventory, records, and documentation.
• Previous Hotel or Resort experience desired.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good organizational skills are essential for managing and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to design engaging promotional and social media graphics using Canva and Adobe Creative Programs.
• Experience editing videos and photos for social media.
• Working knowledge of Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms.
• Strong communication skills and a refined, client focused approach to sales.
• An interest in the arts or prior gallery experience is a plus.
• South Carolina Serv Safe Alcohol Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) required.

As you handle administrative tasks, sales transactions, and event logistics, you'll be part of a team-oriented approach, working alongside colleagues from concierge services, marketing, and event planning.
