Automotive Dealership Receptionist
Position: Dealership Receptionist
Job Type: Full-Time
Department: Administration / Customer Service
We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized Receptionist to join our dealership team. The receptionist is often the first person our customers interact with and plays an important role in creating a welcoming and professional experience.
The ideal candidate is personable, comfortable communicating with customers in person and over the phone, able to multitask in a busy environment, and willing to assist different departments throughout the dealership.
Responsibilities- Greet customers promptly and professionally as they enter the dealership.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate department or team member.
- Assist customers with general questions and help connect them with Sales, Service, Parts, Finance, or Management.
- Take accurate and detailed messages when employees are unavailable.
- Maintain a welcoming, clean, and organized reception and customer waiting area.
- Assist with customer follow-up and basic customer service needs.
- Receive and distribute incoming mail, packages, and dealership correspondence.
- Assist with basic data entry, filing, scanning, copying, and other administrative duties.
- Maintain organized customer and dealership records as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with Sales, Service, Parts, and administrative staff.
- Assist with scheduling or appointment coordination when needed.
- Help ensure customers are acknowledged and assisted while waiting for a dealership employee.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling customer or dealership information.
- Provide additional administrative and customer service support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable answering and managing a multi-line phone system.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and personalities.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Previous receptionist, administrative, automotive, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
We're looking for someone who understands that great customer service starts the moment a customer walks through the door or calls the dealership. You should enjoy working with people, be willing to help wherever needed, and be able to stay organized and professional in a fast-paced environment.
