We are seeking experienced Gastroenterologists for an exciting locum tenens opportunity in South Carolina. This is a hospital-based position with a dynamic team of professionals. Multiple dates are available for coverage, and the facility is looking to onboard qualified candidates immediately.

Position Details:

• Specialty: Gastroenterology
• Setting: Hospital-based
• Start Dates:
  • December 2024:
    • December 1 (7pm) - December 9 (7am)
    • December 9 (7am) - December 16 (7am)
    • December 23 (7am) - December 30 (7am)
  • January 2025:
    • January 13 (7am) - January 20 (7am)
• Shifts: 24-hour on-call coverage
• Call Ratio: 24-hour shifts
• Trauma Level: II
• Average Hospital Patients per Day: 16 (6 consults)

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Adult patient care
• Gastroenterology consults in a hospital setting
• No outpatient or clinic responsibilities
• Perform essential procedures such as:
  • Colonoscopy
  • Liver Biopsy
  • Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry
  • Upper and Lower GI Endoscopy
  • PEG Placement
  • Optional ERCP (preferred but not required)

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Gastroenterology Required
• SC Medical License: Active, clean, and unrestricted
• Background Check: 100% clean preferred (small malpractice cases considered on a case-by-case basis)
• Experience: No new graduates, must have strong professional background
• Epic EMR experience preferred
