Family Ministry Pastor – Full-Time Position

General Statement

First Baptist Church, Clover is prayerfully seeking an experienced Family Ministry Pastor. This is a full-time position. Clover, SC is a rapidly growing community. Although Clover still has a small-town feel, it has a growth rate of +16%. Clover school district is one of the finest in the State. Currently, the District is adding a new High school, Middle school and Elementary school to meet the demand of over 3000 new homes currently permitted in Clover.

First Baptist Church, Clover is growing along with the town. We consistently exceed 400 attendees in two services on Sundays. Our growth is mostly with young families with children. We have a thriving Awana and Youth program on Wednesday nights. Upward Sports has been a great contributor to that growth.

We believe the Family Ministry Pastor should be a person called of God, led by the Holy Spirit, adequately trained, and called by the church to supervise, prepare, and support the outreach and mission of the church. He must work as a team member with other church staff and lay leaders.

Qualifications
  • The Pastor of Family Ministries must be called by God for ministry.
  • He will have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and regularly attend worship services.
  • He will be an effective communicator of Christ-centered discipleship, will teach the Word rightly, be able to communicate the gospel clearly, and joyfully encourage others to do the same.
  • He will have a degree from an accredited Theological Seminary, or equivalent experience working with youth, children, or similar ministries.
  • He will have a knowledge of Scripture and Biblical principles, with the ability to communicate these principles in a relatable way to children, youth, and parents.
  • He will be available to lead and support scheduled children and youth ministry activities during regular church meeting hours, as well as after hours as warranted.
  • He will be passionate about building up and supporting families.
  • He will have strong administrative and delegation skills.
