Job Responsibilities
Northeastern Technical College will provide NCCER accredited training programs that equip people with the basic skills and confidence needed to pursue a career as a skilled craft professional. This instructor position delivers ongoing classroom instruction and facilitates a core curriculum to a class of adult learners. Training on the curriculum will be provided. The instructor will aid in the growth of this program by teaching on an ongoing basis.
Topics of the curriculum include:
- Basic Safety
- Construction Math
- Hand Tools
- Power Tools
- Construction Drawings
- Communication Skills
- Employability Skills
- Material Handling
Teaching will occur during the day and some evenings.
Adjunct position could be located at the Cheraw, Marlboro, Dillon, or Pageland Campus. It will be based on availability and need.
Minimum and Additional RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED. Three (3) years of experience in industrial, construction or other technical trades, such as Millwright, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Electrician, Instrumentation Technician, general construction, or project management. An equivalent combination of education and experience is sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job. Completion of an NCCER trade training with Level 1 and Level 2 may be considered in lieu of work experience.
Must have a valid driver's license.
