Job Summary
PEDU 121:
Beginning Tennis
Teach an introductory tennis course covering basic strokes, rules, history, and fundamental strategies of the game. Provide instruction on proper technique, skill development, and gameplay in a supportive learning environment. Emphasize safety, sportsmanship, and active participation while helping students build foundational skills and confidence in tennis.
Respond to student and university emails in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications- Instructor must have a minimum of at least a bachelor’s degree plus at least 2 years of teaching/coaching/instructor and participatory experience in formal settings OR coaching/instructor certification (or equivalent) in the activity from a formal/accredited governing body, plus at least 2 years of experience of teaching/coaching/instructing and participatory experience in formal settings.
- Candidates must possess basic technical proficiency, including the ability to maintain student grades, communicate with students, and upload course materials using Blackboard.
- Must have current CPR certification by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
