Position Overview Adventure Staff guide students on safe and quality weekend trips. Trips may be local day outings or overnight camping opportunities. Each opportunity is typically academically driven that expands a students cultural awareness and/or personal enrichment. Students also have the opportunity to learn primitive camping and wilderness skills Adventure Staff play a crucial role in our students' success. They build trusting relationships, hold boundaries, and structure daily recreational and therapeutic activities with support and guidance from the team and manager.

Schedule:

Friday - Sunday 8 am - 9:30 pm; overnight sleep hours may be required Responsibilities:

• Provide a nurturing environment and close supervision of students
• Utilize natural and logical consequences to hold students accountable
• Employ relationship and counseling skills effectively
• Complete all necessary student documentation
• Attend, participate and complete all mandatory training

Requirements:

• Love working with children
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with youth
• Love the outdoors
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work doubles during the day and overnight on the weekends
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Pass a background check
