Overview

Lead a team of instructors to design, develop and deliver technical training and development programs for Vertiv Personal. Help create, plan, and provide training for the new product programs. They help design and develop training materials, such as lessons, assessments, and visual aids, to help associates learn and understand the material. Continually improve the knowledge, skills, and abilities of associates. Training programs may be conducted in a classroom, in a laboratory, on the production floor, or online.

They also facilitate classroom discussions, run lab work, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide feedback to associates. They collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts, maintaining up-to-date course content and tracking associate progress.

Responsibilities

  • Create training schedules for all company departments, track and create reports on outcomes of all training and maintain training records for the company.
  • Train new hires on company policies and procedures and use the best training methods for a specific purpose or audience.
  • Gather and evaluate information from employees and management on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training.
  • Attend seminars and meetings to learn new training methods and techniques and use the knowledge to prepare and coordinate future training sessions.
  • Recruit and train new Trainers, delegate training tasks to the new Trainers and evaluate performance.
  • Market company training opportunities to employees and provide information on benefits to encourage participation.
  • Inform employees on scheduled training and track their progress.
  • Recommend training materials and methods, order and maintain in-house training equipment and facilities and manage the budget set for training.
  • Lead a team of instructors to design, develop and deliver technical training and development programs for Vertiv Personal.
  • Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders to support continual gathering of information, feedback, and input to drive curriculum development/evolution.
  • Design training programs to ensure training transfer on the job, including course pre-work, instructor lecture, hands-on lab exercises, post-work, exams, and on-the-job training plans.
  • Assist in designing and developing training strategies for the organization including technical and non-technical, onboarding, refresh training, training for new products and enhancements for existing products.
  • Assist trainers in developing a quarterly and annual technical training calendar.
  • Implement a Train-The-Trainer certification program.
  • Establish technical skill assessment tools to build customized learning programs and curriculums to improve team performance and customer experience.
  • Develop standard work for team learning and development journey.
  • Manage technical learning centers.
  • Apply Adult Learning Theory, eLearning, blended learning methods to improve training effectiveness and students’ learning experience.
  • Develop eLearning strategy for technical training delivery and build eLearning capability, e.g., webinars, video, self-paced or on-demand learning.
  • Leverage Learning Management System (LMS) to house, deploy and track global training initiatives including certification programs.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to improve training quality and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain a process to keep track of training records and ensure compliance with audits.
  • Improve training compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Explain and demonstrate clearly the operation or show procedures to the operator.
Qualifications
  • 2 to 4 years of experience managing people.
  • 2 to 4 years’ experience with Data Center related architecture, electrical and thermal systems, safety and security and related procedures.
  • Good time management, public speaking, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills
