Job Summary

The University Advising Center’s Senior Academic Programs Coordinator provides leadership and operational oversight for key academic programs and initiatives that support undergraduate student success, curricular efficiency, and timely degree completion. This position collaborates extensively with faculty, advisors, academic units, and central administrative partners to implement, manage, and continuously improve curricular pathways, advising tools, and student support programs. The Academic Programs Coordinator plays a critical role in advancing innovative academic models, ensuring policy alignment, and supporting data-informed decision-making across the undergraduate curriculum.

Knowledge of undergraduate curriculum structures, degree requirements, academic policies (including accelerated pathways), curriculum governance processes, approvals, and compliance requirements within a higher education environment is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of undergraduate curriculum structures, degree requirements, and academic policies, including accelerated pathways.
  • Knowledge of curriculum governance processes, approvals, and compliance requirements within a higher education environment.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and across multiple academic stakeholders and departments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and effective collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced organizational and process‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, timelines, and annual cycles.
  • Advanced technical skills to configure, test, and troubleshoot academic systems, and to translate academic policy into system logic.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving academic priorities, technologies, and policies in a dynamic higher education environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree and 4 years related experience preferred.
  • Prior experience working with academic programs, curriculum, and academic advising.
