An immediate opening for a dedicated School Psychologist is available in the Abbeville, SC area. This full‑time, direct‑hire position offers the opportunity to provide vital psychological services within a school setting from now through the end of the current school year. The role involves conducting comprehensive evaluations to determine Special Education eligibility, with a focus on assessing Specific Learning Disability (using the PSW model), Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional Disturbance, Anxiety, Depression, and ADHD.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough psychological evaluations for students requiring Special Education assessments
- Apply assessment tools and models, including the PSW framework for Specific Learning Disability
- Collaborate with educational teams to support student needs and develop appropriate interventions
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders
- Hold a valid South Carolina School Psychologist License
- Experience with a range of psychological assessments, including those related to learning disabilities, ASD, emotional disturbances, and ADHD
- Ability to start immediately and commit through the end of the school year
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and school staff
