Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher with expertise in multi-categorical certification. This full-time contract position involves working within a preschool autism classroom serving students in grades 4K, 5K, and 1st grade. The class size is approximately 12 to 13 students, supported by two teacher assistants, providing a collaborative environment focused on individualized student growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver developmentally appropriate instruction tailored to students with autism in a full-day preschool setting.
• Collaborate effectively with teacher assistants to meet students' academic, social, and toileting needs.
• Implement and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure each students progress.
• Monitor student behavior and provide a supportive learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student progress and strategies.

Qualifications:

• Current multi-categorical Special Education teaching certification is required.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children on the autism spectrum.
• Ability to provide personal care including toileting assistance.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with assistants and families.
