Reports to: Building Administrator

Responsible for helping students develop and strengthen academic, physical and social skills by providing assistance and tutoring to students in the after‑school program.

• Assists in planning and implementation of academic, enrichment, health, and recreational extra‑curricular learning experiences for students.
• Assists tutoring of students in academic subjects such as reading, writing, math, and other areas.
• Provides one‑on‑one and small group instruction, utilizing a variety of teaching techniques.
• Works effectively with students in after‑school activities and assists with behavior management, discipline, interpersonal actions, and acts as a role model.
• Promotes good habits for the purpose of improving the quality of students' outcome and encouraging student development.
• Follows all district and school policies, rules, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Conducts duties in an office/school/work environment with no significant exposure to environmental conditions. Physical demands are restricted to office work requiring lifting/moving of items up to 25 pounds. Job requires the operation of standard office equipment.
