Information Systems Instructor
Trident Technical College is your community college seeking Information Systems Instructors to teach basic programming and database courses using effective teaching strategies.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain course materials
- Recommend and design new programs
- Maintain office hours
- Participate in professional development and college activities
- Support student retention and graduate placement
- Advise students
- Assist with registration
- Serve on committees
- Support departmental administration
- Teach on any campus or via distance learning, including weekends, in online and virtual formats
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Computer Science/Information Technology; related master’s degrees include Computer Science, Software Development, Software Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence
- Preferred candidate meets ACBSP guidelines and has a minimum of three (3) years of progressively working/teaching experience in higher education and at least three (3) years of work experience in a related field
- Working knowledge of multiple object‑oriented programming languages (Java, C++, C#, Python, etc.) and web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, etc.)
- Proficiency in modern business office applications and instructional techniques and methodologies
- Committed to continuous professional development in the ever‑changing field of information systems and eager to deliver current knowledge to students using state‑of‑the‑art techniques and technologies in educational settings
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work in an environment characterized by frequent changes in information technology
- Solid commitment to student success

SalarySalary is commensurate with education and experience, with a starting salary of $80,000.
