Adjunct Music Professor

Job Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students enrolled in MUS 105:
  Music Appreciation.
• Conduct appropriate learning activities.
• Maintain effective instructional management.
• Participate in all required orientations, meetings, and trainings.
• Adhere to all college-designated deadlines.
• Participate in Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) assessments.
• Teach classes at multiple campuses and off‑campus sites, including high schools.

This position is located on various Midlands Technical College campuses and off‑campus instructional sites.

Master of Arts in Music; or Master of Arts plus 18 hours in Music.

Past experience in teaching introductory college Music courses, especially in the community college setting, is preferred.

Adjunct faculty are compensated in accordance with Midlands Technical College’s established pay schedule. The standard adjunct pay rate is $2,802 per three-credit-hour course. Final compensation may vary depending on academic credentials and total course credit hours. Any variation is determined upon hire and outlined in the faculty employment agreement.
