Instructor - General Chemistry/Forensic Science/Carolina Core Chemistry
Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, College of Arts and Sciences, University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC.
Full‑time, professional‑track faculty position (Instructor), 9‑month appointment beginning August 16 2025.
Responsibilities- Teach four courses per semester (eight courses per appointment) in general chemistry, forensic science, or related subjects.
- Supply chemicals and instrumentation for laboratory courses.
- Provide support to lecture or lab programs as necessary.
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in chemistry or forensic science.
- At least six semesters teaching undergraduate courses (as a graduate teaching assistant or instructor of record) in general chemistry, forensic science, organic chemistry, or chemistry for non‑science majors.
- Ph.D. in chemistry, forensic science, or a closely related discipline.
- Evidence of potential for excellence in teaching.
