Summer 2026 Student Orientation Internship
Job Title: Student Employee – Orientation Internship
OverviewStudents will provide tours and information sessions for new students planning to attend Upstate. Orientation staff may be required to stay on campus for one overnight event, staying in the Palmetto House or Magnolia House, and provide programming. They will help prospective students understand opportunities at Upstate and assist with scheduling classes for the fall semester. Staff will assist with phones and student services in Enrollment Services offices.
Through presentations and group leadership, students will develop communication and leadership skills.
- Provide campus tours and information sessions for incoming students.
- Interact positively with prospective students, parents, faculty, and staff.
- Assist prospective students with scheduling fall semester classes and navigating enrollment services.
- Engage in presentations to develop communication skills.
- Lead student groups and collaborate with other staff to plan programming.
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Completed two semesters of coursework at Upstate before summer 2025.
- Knowledge of the Upstate campus.
- Minimum GPA of 2.75.
- Attendance at mandatory one‑day training in May.
