Anderson School District Three is seeking a dedicated and student-focused ROAR Program Facilitator at Starr-Iva Middle School for the school year. The ROAR Program provides a structured, supportive intervention setting for students who require additional behavioral and academic support. The successful candidate will build positive relationships with students, promote accountability and growth, and collaborate with staff and families to support student success.
EssentialDuties
- Provide daily supervision and support for students assigned to the ROAR Program, maintaining a structured, safe, and positive learning environment.
- Assist with small group instruction and individualized support to reinforce learning concepts.
- Implement behavioral interventions and restorative practices designed to improve student conduct, decision‑making, and accountability.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, recess, lunch, and arrival/dismissal times.
- Monitor and support student completion of academic assignments in collaboration with classroom teachers.
- Develop positive relationships with students and serve as a mentor who encourages personal growth, responsibility, and successful school engagement.
- Collaborate with administrators, counselors, teachers, and other staff members to develop and implement student support plans.
- Observe and document student behavior and progress, sharing relevant information with the teacher.
- Assist students in developing conflict resolution, self‑regulation, and social‑emotional skills.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with district policies and applicable laws.
- Participate in student conferences, parent meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings as requested.
- Perform requirements as established by state and federal laws and the Board of Trustees.
- Fulfill professional responsibilities beyond the classroom.
- Participate in professional development programs.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Two‑year associate’s degree, or
- 60 hours of college coursework, or
- Paraprofessional Assessment Test.
