Job Summary: Roebuck Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs and the ability to collaborate effectively with parents, teachers, and support staff.

• Develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities, ensuring that each student's unique needs are met.
• Provide instruction to students with disabilities in a variety of settings, including inclusive classrooms and resource rooms.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and provide accommodations for students with disabilities.
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and other meetings related to student support services.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided.
• Stay current with best practices and trends in special education.

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid South Carolina teaching license in Special Education.
• Certification in Special Education from the South Carolina Department of Education.
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• State Licensure: Must hold a valid South Carolina teaching license in Special Education.
• Special Education Certification: Must possess Special Education certification from the South Carolina Department of Education.
