Science Teacher, Middle School

Qualifications & Desired
Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in General Education or Science (middle school/secondary level preferred)
- Background in teaching or student teaching, especially science curriculum for grades 6-8
- Strong classroom management skills and effective communication abilities
- Enthusiasm for hands-on science instruction and a commitment to student development
- Ability to adapt lesson plans to diverse learning styles
- Familiarity with state and national science standards is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver dynamic science lessons to 7th grade students, covering topics such as biology, earth science, chemistry, and physics
- Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive classroom environment
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, projects, and assessments
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success
- Integrate technology and real-world applications into the curriculum
- Participate in school events, professional development sessions, and team planning meetings
This position offers a 40-hour work week and focuses on in-person instruction (no virtual teaching at this time). You'll help spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and leave a lasting impact on young learners.
