English Language Teacher

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an English Language Teacher to provide in-person, customized lessons to our clients in Elgin, SC.

Job Information:

• Student:
  Individual classes for children (age 5 years old & 8 years old)
• Availability:
  Monday - Friday between 3:30pm - 5:30pm Eastern Standard Time
• Preferred start date: ASAP
• Lesson Frequency: 2 to 3x per week each
• Lesson Duration: 1 hour per lesson each
• Location:
  
  near Skateland Fun Center; 800 Bookman RD., SC 29045
• Preferred platform:
  In-person
• Current target language level:
  Beginner Native and other spoken languages:
  German Student's language needs and goals: I want to learn English so I can settle in well at preschool/school and make new friends.

  Interests:
• 5-years-old:
  Generally, crafts: making bracelets: singing and dancing; playing in the garden;
  Playing with my big brother; paint.
• 8-years-old: I just want to learn English to keep up at school and make new friends. Additional Information:
  Interests:
  Playing Soccer; riding a bike; playing with my sister; paint; trying out instruments; playing with Legos.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners' proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students' progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• To have native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
• To have a degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field
• To have a minimum of two years of ESL teaching experience
• Having experience working with young children is a must
