Special Education Teacher - Darlington, South Carolina

Currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction and foster a structured, encouraging atmosphere where high school students can thrive academically, socially, and personally.

• Valid South Carolina certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students with severe disabilities, preferably in a self-contained classroom
• Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ability to develop and implement them
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach
• Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching methods to address a variety of learning and behavioral needs
• Commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all learners

• Deliver targeted instruction to students with severe disabilities in alignment with IEPs
• Modify curriculum and instructional strategies as needed to support diverse learning goals
• Track and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as required
• Foster the development of academic, functional, behavioral, and life skills
• Collaborate closely with school staff, administrators, and related service providers
• Cultivate positive relationships with students, families, and team members
• Maintain a structured, predictable classroom environment
• Contribute to IEP meetings, supporting the development and execution of student plans
