Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm

Richland County First Steps is committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and support to families with infants and toddlers. We are looking for a dedicated Classroom Floater to join our Early Head Start team and help create a nurturing, engaging environment for children aged eight weeks to three years.

• Support Daily
  
  Activities:
  
  Assist teachers with feeding, diapering, dressing, and playtime.
• Ensure Safety and Cleanliness:
  Maintain a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate classroom and outdoor environment.
• Engage with Parents:
  Encourage parental involvement and assist with parent conferences and home visits.
• Implement Lesson Plans:
  Help execute weekly lesson plans and assess children's development.
• Maintain Compliance:
  Follow Head Start, First Steps, DSS, DHEC, and CACFP standards and regulations.
• Document Accurately:
  Complete required paperwork and documentation.

• Education:
  
  Infant-Toddler CDA credential, ECD 101 completion, or a related course is preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Experience working with infants, toddlers, and diverse families.
• Skills:
  
  Knowledge of child development, effective communication, and teamwork skills.
• Curriculum Knowledge:
  Familiarity with Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers, and Twos.
• Clearance:
  Ability to pass criminal and background checks.

• Lift up to 40 pounds.
• Regularly kneel, bend, and sit/squat on the floor.
