Location: Columbia
This is a 36-week contract position for a Special Education Teacher located in or near Columbia, South Carolina. The role offers competitive compensation and benefits, and provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to create a positive learning environment.
- Adapt teaching materials and methods to meet diverse student needs.
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education or equivalent.
- Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Special Education or equivalent certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a school setting, familiarity with special education methods and student needs.
- Ability to pass background checks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility with scheduling.
- Physical ability to meet the demands of a school environment.
