- Role : Reliability & Maintenance Engineer
- Location: Holly Hill, South Carolina, United States
This role supports the implementation and revitalization of maintenance management systems (AIM), breaking the reactive maintenance cycle and fostering continuous improvement. The Maintenance Project Engineer will support project teams, coach plant personnel, and help establish standardized maintenance processes that improve plant performance.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all duties with a strong focus on safety and proactive contribution to a safety culture.
- Support project team members in elaborating the System Implementation Schedule (SIS).
- Maintain transparent and constant communication with stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure timely completion of SIS activities.
- Identify deviations or constraints and elevate them for timely resolution.
- Coach supervisors and managers on implementing maintenance standards and processes.
- Document processes and create the Maintenance & Production manual for the plant.
- Motivate the team to sustain project momentum throughout implementation.
- Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Maintenance Engineering or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of plant maintenance experience in heavy industry, preferably with exposure to management systems, quality systems, or project management.
- Knowledge or training in Lean Manufacturing highly desired; project management experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP PM).
- Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with preventive maintenance planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost management.
- Team-oriented, inquisitive, pragmatic, and motivated to research and implement improvements.
- Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of PPE; respirator users must be clean‑shaven where the seal meets the face.
