Mechanical; Thermal Design Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical (Thermal) Design Engineer to lead the design of thermal, HVAC, and ventilation systems for modular AC/DC power modules, IT modules, and data center solutions across IT, Telecom, and Industrial markets. This role will support engineering, integration, commissioning, and presales efforts while ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and customer specifications.

• Lead conceptual and detailed design of HVAC, thermal, and ventilation systems
• Develop mechanical layouts including ductwork, cable management, busway, and fire suppression systems
• Perform thermal calculations and simple CFD analysis
• Prepare Schematic Design (SD), Detailed Design (DD), and Construction Drawing (CD) documentation
• Coordinate with structural, electrical (BMS), fire suppression, and integration teams
• Review and approve mechanical submittals and equipment specifications
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes (seismic, hurricane, climate, etc.)
• Support factory/site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT) and commissioning
• Provide on-site engineering support and system audits as required
• Participate in presales conceptual module design and customer discussions

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Thermal focus preferred)
• Minimum 4 years of thermal/HVAC mechanical design experience
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent 3D modeling tools
• Experience performing thermal calculations and basic CFD analysis
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and customer specifications
• Working knowledge of building codes and modular construction requirements
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

• Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred)
• Experience with modular data centers, telecom facilities, or industrial modules
