Primary Responsibilities for the Engineer II - Electrical

  • Provide input into the purchase, modification, and improvement of equipment.
  • Represent the Electrical discipline on cross-functional project teams by writing purchase orders or non-stocks; responsible for managing cost, schedule, and performance for the discipline-specific project subset.
  • Complete standard engineering and design work related to the installation and retrofit of equipment.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for equipment to Maintenance on a day-to-day basis.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Required Qualifications for the Engineer II - Electrical

    • Three or more years of relevant experience.
    • Experience troubleshooting power systems in facilities.
    • Experience in industrial controls wiring and troubleshooting industrial networks.
    • Support and management experience with electrical technicians, project management, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
    • Working knowledge of PLCs, HMI systems, networking, and Level II control systems.
    • Knowledge of MCCs, low voltage distribution, drive systems, and basic industrial control technology.
    • Familiarity with governing codes (e.g., IEEE, NEC), CAD, and MS Office Suite.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, well-organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions.
    • Ability to work in a production-oriented environment.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
    • Capability to work independently on larger assignments, requiring experience and judgment, under supervision.
    • Design, problem-solving, and project management skills.
    • Ability to manage project subsets and coordinate with outside consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
    • Proficiency with CAD (3D capabilities preferred), MS Office, and engineering design software.
    • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college.
