Position SummaryThe Quality & Claims Engineer is a key technical role responsible for ensuring that customer concerns regarding product performance are addressed efficiently and accurately. This role manages the entire lifecycle of claims
—from initial receipt and investigation to technical analysis and reporting—while collaborating closely with sales, production, and quality teams both in the U.S. and Italy. The Claim Engineer will assess material performance, identify installation or equipment issues, and propose solutions to prevent future occurrences. This is a junior role with strong growth potential
, offering hands‑on experience in laboratory testing, materials analysis, and customer interaction, leading over time to laboratory management and mentoring responsibilities.
- Manage and analyze customer claims, identifying technical causes related to materials, installation, or equipment.
- Prepare clear and detailed technical reports on claims, including root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive recommendations.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for clients regarding claims, providing professional guidance and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Collaborate with U.S. and Italy production teams to resolve issues, suggest process improvements, and ensure consistent product quality.
- Support the setup and operation of the new testing laboratory, including equipment handling, pressure testing, and material analysis.
- Assist in the evaluation of new materials and applications, providing technical input for product development.
- Contribute to training and mentoring of future technical engineers within the team.
- Travel up to 10–15% to visit client sites for technical inspections, installation assessments, or on‑site claim investigations.
- Document, track, and report metrics related to claims and laboratory performance to support continuous improvement.
- Maintain a proactive approach to identify potential issues before they affect customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in mechanical laboratory or quality control.
- Knowledge of polymers, resins, and industrial applications.
- Strong technical analysis, problem‑solving, and customer management skills.
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English;
Italian is a plus. - Motivated to grow professionally in a junior role with clear career development.
$75,000 – $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
