EHS Engineer

Are you ready to lead and innovate in Environmental Health and Safety?

Our client is seeking a dynamic professional to drive their Environmental Health and Safety programs, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. This role is pivotal in promoting a safe and healthy workplace while fostering continuous improvement in safety practices.

• Implement and manage EH&S programs in line with Federal, State, and Local regulations, as well as ISO/OHSAS standards.
• Support and guide teams to prevent incidents and ensure safety compliance.
• Oversee the development and execution of EH&S training for all personnel.
• Manage EH&S control procedures and maintain compliance records.
• Lead corrective and preventive actions, driving continuous improvement in safety processes.
• Collaborate with various departments to integrate EH&S principles into engineering designs and processes.
• Occasional travel may be required for training, especially during plant start-up phases.

• Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related field preferred; relevant experience considered.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Environmental, Safety, or Industrial Hygiene fields.
• Proven skills in EH&S management within an industrial setting.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with ISO and OHSAS audit procedures and EH&S regulations.
• Knowledge of industrial hygiene fundamentals, including air sampling and HEPA systems.
• Project management skills in EH&S contexts.
