Timmons Group is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Project Engineer III to join our Land Development team in Columbia, SC
. The Project Engineer III will contribute to a wide range of land development projects—from residential neighborhoods to commercial developments and public spaces.
- Designing site layouts, grading, utilities, and stormwater systems using Civil 3D and other modeling tools.
- Performing engineering calculations and solving real‑world design challenges.
- Preparing technical specifications and construction documents.
- Conducting research and writing objective reports to support project completion.
- Assisting with cost estimates and construction planning.
- Supporting field inspections and data collection.
Collaborating with clients, internal teams, and senior engineers to deliver high-quality results.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in land development engineering, including residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
- EIT certification preferred
. - Proficiency in Civil 3D and/or other CAD software.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
