Thomas & Hutton has an opening for a Senior Project Manager - Water/Wastewater Engineer in the Columbia, SC area. The position requires strong understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure and process design, preferably with municipal systems. The role involves experience with management of both public and private projects, focusing on local municipal and quasi-governmental clients. Candidates must have a strong knowledge of Civil 3D, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, Microsoft Office, and preferably Info Works WS or Info Water modeling software by Innovyze.
A bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and a P.E. license are required.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Masters in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Registered Professional Engineer required.
Experience: 15+ years of experience working with the design of municipal water/wastewater projects.
Skills- Ability to analyze, coordinate and manage several large or complex projects concurrently.
- Ability to manage and develop project staff, supporting and evaluating each individual toward achieving their maximum potential.
- Ability to complete projects successfully, on-time, on-budget, with high-level supervision.
- Advanced knowledge of project tracking software (Vision/Microsoft Project).
- Intermediate knowledge of Word/Excel.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Project experience in the southeastern United States, preferably Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
