Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Division Sales Engineer. This role is located at our growing facility in Hodges, SC and follows a hybrid schedule. We are able to offer relocation assistance for qualified candidates within the United States.

The Division Sales Engineer (DSE) will support North American Sales on the entire Busway product line, engineered to order (ETO) negotiations and applications. This role will have responsibility to reconcile orders, complete specification reviews, provide product application support, and pricing authority managed to price bands as determined by sales manager. The DSE will have engineering expertise to encompass all Busway related applications including Low Voltage Busway, Medium Voltage Busway, and track style bus.

The Division Sales Engineer will provide a broad range of professional engineering services and sales support to meet sales and product line goals. The DSE will interpret complex customer drawings and specifications of associated product design to meet application and manufacturing requirements, provide coordination and lead technical guidance to product engineering and production personnel, provide product marketing team VOC guidance and support marketing plans, and provide negotiation and application support for field sales in more complex product areas.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What You’ll Do
  • Maintain current expertise in product engineering technologies, competitor capabilities, and market conditions.
  • Develop detailed technical and commercial product quotations using sound tactical pricing.
  • Provide advanced engineering support to product marketing, manufacturing, and sales aligned with product line objectives.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison to customers, supporting product applications, performance, compliance, and issue resolution.
  • Support field sales with technical information, competitive analysis, and customer training.
  • Lead or support complex negotiations involving technical recommendations and product applications.
  • Review product configurations, design circuits, perform calculations, and coordinate with drafting, purchasing, and manufacturing.
  • Manage assigned territory performance, including volume, price, product mix, shipping performance, warranties, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate customer project reviews, drawing approvals, inspections, and witness tests.
  • Manage order related project activities to meet OTP goals, reduce cycle time, handle requirement changes, and support warranty processes.
  • Provide training and mentorship to customers, field sales, engineers, and technicians.
  • Participate in special projects and travel as needed to interface with customers and support company initiatives.
Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering, sales, sales support, marketing, or product management with technical products.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with Busway products.
Skills
  • Strong working knowledge of e-Tools, Bid Manager, Sales Reporting, VISTA, Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Electrical Engineering experience with Electrical Distribution and Protection technology.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to customers.
  • Strong presentation and customer service skills.
