Senior Engineering Manager

The Senior Project Engineering Manager is a dynamic role that performs technical, management, and project management activities to ensure the successful completion of tasks that vary in complexity. This critical interface role involves the Westinghouse Project Engineering Department, Licensing Organization, Construction Partner, Owner, and Regulator to facilitate the successful completion of the VC Summer project. The position reports to the Director of Project Engineering VC Summer, with time at VC Summer expected 25‑50% during early phases, moving to full‑time onsite as the project evolves.

• Internally within project engineering, between functional areas and project engineering, and between sister project engineering teams (e.g., APx or Poland).
• Externally with our construction partner.
• Externally with the Owner/Project Manager.
• Externally with the Regulator/AHJs.
• Lead multiple meetings and workshops as the representative and voice of the Westinghouse organization.
• Support the development or creation of schedules and budgets for scopes related to contract work.
• May perform engineering preparation, review, or approval of Engineering/Project Engineering documents.

• 15+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related); preference for Civil with infrastructure/environmental background.
• 10 years in project engineering/management or equivalent roles, with experience leading successful projects or large scopes.
• Experience with engineering principles, project management methodologies, and regulatory standards (including state‑level permitting).
• Leadership and teamwork abilities, with experience collaborating across departments.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in SC or ability to acquire license within 30 days.

• EPC experience (AP1000), including recent construction and construction/engineering management.
• Advanced degrees in business or engineering.
