Role SummaryAs a Manufacturing Engineer your role is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining production processes to drive quality and efficiency and to develop manufacturing plans which improve operations competitiveness.
Responsibilities- Develop and define concepts and manufacturing processes for, and as an integral part of, all new product introductions and product enhancement programs, using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM/DFA, FMEA, 3P (Production, Preparation Process), 7‑Ways and Lean Six Sigma Methodology.
- Assume responsibility for capital planning, CER creation and approvals, capital project timing and implementation, capital spending and budgeting, and plant VA/VE savings.
- Ensure all equipment meets OSHA‑compliant safety regulations.
- Drive engineering principles and discipline through mentoring, training and project reviews, including PFMEA, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Dynamic Control Plans (DCP), Lean tools, project management and simultaneous engineering.
- Manage, develop and improve manufacturing standards, including machine capability and capacity, process maps, set‑ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings and cycle times.
- Bachelor’s Engineering Degree required.
- 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with lean principles and techniques, including Visual Management, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Cycle Time Reduction, Process Balancing, Yokoten, 5S, SMED and Kanban.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to link operational performance drivers to financial results.
- PLC programming and automation knowledge is a plus.
- New product development understanding.
- Utilize engineering principles to develop robust manufacturing processes the first time.
- Apply project management, objective development and project review disciplines.
- Fluent knowledge of manufacturing engineering, assembly and quality control processes.
- Strong leadership skills to drive engineering principles and processes.
- Understanding of Lean, 3P, Kaizen and Six Sigma programs.
- Knowledge of new model launch requirements and processes.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and MS Project.
- Experience in 2D/3D modeling software (AutoCAD, Pro‑E) is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Cross‑functional communication, simultaneous engineering and reporting.
- Resolve conflicts between varying personalities.
- Guide and lead both non‑technical and technical personnel to technical solutions.
- Implement root‑cause analysis and solutions.
Annual Base Salary Range: $77,963.33 – $
